The St. Francis Basilica has been a treasure of the Catholic church among the state of Iowa’s cornfield for more than 125 years. The church welcomes visitors to come and see the St. Francis Basilica, to attend Mass, to appreciate the Catholic heritage to church celebrates and loves, or simply just to pray.

Originally St. Francis Xavier Church, the beginning of St. Francis Basilica took place back in 1862 where the town’s first Catholic church was built. Guests can take a tour of the church or pray in the peaceful setting from 7:00am until 8:00pm, seven days a week.
