Shelby Bottom is a popular park in Nashville due to its variety of outdoor offerings. The park is situated across three miles along the region’s Cumberland River. The Shelby Bottom greenway provides five paved miles of trails, as well as five more primitive miles of trails, for biking, walking, and running. This greenway connects with the Stones River Greenway, making it possible to reach the Percy Priest Dam. Other park amenities include a pond, picnic shelters, playgrounds, a golf course, baseball fields, and a dog park. The park’s Nature Center provides a place for visitors to learn about the area’s environment.
