DeLand Naval Air Station Museum preserves the historic facilities of the Naval Air Station DeLand, which operated between 1942 and 1946 as a United States Naval Air Station. Following World War II, the former airport space was converted back into DeLand Municipal Airport, which some facilities used by the Florida Military School during the mid-2oth century. Since 1995, the airfield's National Register of Historic Places-listed Chief Master at Arms House has showcased extensive exhibits on United States Navy and aviation history, including exhibits detailing the air station's World War II operations. Aircraft collections include an F-14 Tomcat, a Korean War-era H-13 Sioux M.A.S.H. copter, a Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bomber, and a USN Nasty-class PTF-3. Guided tours of the museum are available with advance reservation Wednesdays through Sundays.
