Waterworks Park is a large urban green space located right on the edge of the Hillsborough River. Parts of the park include the city’s popular Riverwalk, where you will find shady benches, ideal for relaxing as you watch the passing parade. There are several shady picnic tables available on a first-come-first-served basis. The park includes a large open lawn area called the Festival Lawn where concerts and events are hosting. Children will love the large playground and the Splash Pads, which feature an enormous tipping bucket to cool you down. There is a boat dock and a dog park where Fido can have some fun.
