The Boulder Dushanbe Tea House was granted as a gift to the city of Boulder from Mayor Maksud Ikramov and the city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The teahouse was constructed by 40 Tajikistan artisans and opened to the public in 1998, featuring spectacular Persian design elements such as a fountain featuring seven bronze statues based on the 12th-century poem The Seven Beauties. As one of Boulder's most popular tourist attractions, the venue is open to the public for tours and tea service or can be rented for private special events, including weddings and receptions. Couples can have their ceremonies outdoors in the tea house's lush gardens or enjoy evening cocktail receptions on its beautiful patio.
