Review & FAQ:

Zoro Garden is a unique six-acre sunken stone grotto garden within San Diego's spectacular Balboa Park, originally constructed as part of the facilities for the 1915-1916 Panama-California Exposition. The gardens were used again as part of the festivities for the 1935-1936 California Pacific International Exposition, home to the performers of the Zoro Garden Nudist Colony. Today, the lovely garden, which is named in honor of Persian prophet and philosopher Zoroaster, is used as a butterfly garden showcasing nectar plants and safe larvae habitats. Plants showcased at the garden include milkweed, sunflowers, foxglove, monkey flowers, and California lilacs, which service the garden's monarch, swallowtail, sulfur, and skipper butterfly populations.
