Silverwing Park is a lovely park and recreation center that was originally opened to the public in May of 1976. The park is home to a small but charming recreation facility that offers after-school programming for area residents, including drop-in class programming and workshops. Visitors can rent the park's recreation center space for birthday parties and other private special events. Outside, a multipurpose field is available for visitor use, along with a children's play area, a basketball court, and day-use picnic facilities. Visitors can access the park via the city's bus route 929. The recreation center also manages the nearby Palm Ridge Neighborhood Park, which offers softball and basketball courts, picnic tables, and a tot's playground.
