Z.L. Riley Park is the charming central urban oasis of the Orlando suburb of Parramore, named in honor of Zellie L. Riley, an area businessman best known as the founder of the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida. The park, which was developed as a joint project between the City of Orlando and the Orange County Expressway Authority, is covered in gorgeous mosaic artwork meant to honor and reflect Riley's contributions to the Orlando community, with a focus on his impact on African-American civic life. A colorful children's playground provides safe play experiences for children up to the age of 12, featuring classic play equipment such as swings, slides, and climbing activities. A spacious picnic pavilion can be used throughout the day by community members or rented for private special events, including community festivals.
