Lake Como Park is a beautiful circular park surrounding its namesake lake, located within the beautiful residential Lake Como neighborhood. The park is one of a series of miniature lake parks throughout Orlando's downtown and is surrounded by beautiful mature old-growth trees providing shade on hot days. A half-mile pathway encircles the park's lake, making for a great spot for relaxing strolls or dog walking. A majestic lion sculpture has resided in the park since 1985, donated by the MacBride family. Since 1993, the park has also been home to a spacious central plaza, several footbridges, and cultivated plantings of flowering crape myrtles. During the winter holiday months, a communal Christmas tree is lit in the center of Lake Como, making for a beautiful holiday photo opportunity.
