Review:
Orlando Wetlands Park is an expansive natural reserve located approximately half an hour east of Orlando's downtown district, preserving beautiful lake and marshland regions in the greater Orlando urban area. The park is open to the public for free each day of the year between sunrise and sunset, making a great day trip excursion for area residents and visitors looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Wildlife watching opportunities abound, including opportunities to spot and photograph a wide variety of native and migratory bird species. Hiking, biking, and equestrian trails meander through the park's beautiful scenery for miles. An educational center is open to the public throughout the week, offering seasonally-rotating exhibits on the region's ecology and wildlife.
