Lake Eola Park is a charming downtown Orlando park located along the banks of Lake Eola, best known as the home of the famed Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain. The fountain, which was originally installed in 1957, serves as Orlando's official civic landmark and is known throughout the state for its nightly choreographed fountain shows, which last approximately six minutes and feature spectacular light and sound elements. Parkgoers can stroll along the park's mile-long sidewalk loop or rent swan pedal boats for exploration of the lake's waters. Live swans populate the park's lake and can be fed with handfuls of food available for change. Public special events held at the park throughout the year include a weekly farmer's market and a free summer downtown concert series.
