George Barker Park is a charming seven-acre community park that is named in honor of former Orlando City Commissioner George A. Barker, Jr. The park, which was opened to the public in 1968, is located along the shores of beautiful Clear Lake, which is lined with gorgeous majestic cypress trees and populated by a wide variety of water bird species. A boat ramp provides access for visitors looking to fish or float on the lake's pristine waters, while two fishing piers provide shoreline fishing access. On land, parkgoers can use the park's community basketball and volleyball courts or bring their children to play at the park's two age-appropriate children's playgrounds.
