Review:

Also known as Agios Georgios, The Rotunda is another 4th-century Roman monument that was originally part of the same palatial complex as the Arch of Galerius.

The circular, domed structure is believed to have been built either as a mausoleum or a place of worship, but it went on to serve as both a Christian church and a mosque. Its 20-foot-thick brick walls have allowed the building to remain incredibly intact over the years, and although the interior decorations haven't fared quite as well, fragments of glittering early Byzantine mosaics can still be seen on many parts of the wall.
