Review:

Constructed to celebrate the Roman victory against the Persians in the early 4th century, the Arch of Galerius, also known as the Kamara, is easily one of city's most recognizable landmarks.

It can be found at the top of Egnatia Street, a popular shopping destination. The structure originally had eight pillars arranged in two rows, and although only three of these pillars are still standing, the arch remains one of the most interesting Roman structures in the city. Two of the pillars are decorated with reliefs depicting scenes from the victorious campaign the monument was erected to celebrate.
