Review & FAQ:

Chippewa Lake, one of Ohio's natural inland lakes, is 14,000 years old and originated from the melting of a glacial ice sheet. The lake and surrounding shoreline was privately owned until the Medina County Parks purchased the western shoreline and the lake itself in 2007. Now the general public and visitors have access to the lake, beaches and boat ramps, park and shelter, picnic areas, and basketball and tennis courts. Visitors need to purchase valid Ohio fishing licenses to fish the lake for bluegill, perch, largemouth bass, and other local fish. Adjoining wetlands are great for bird watchers, Chippewa Inlet Trail accommodates hikers, mountain bikers, and cross-country skiers.
