The National Museum of Malaysiaa is a museum that is situated along Jalan Damansara in central Kuala, Lumpur, Malaysia. Locals and visitors will find this museum within close proximity of the Perdana Lake Gardens, offering them an overview of Malaysia’s culture and history. The building first opened its doors in the year of 1963, and incorporates traditional Minangkabau and Malay architectural features. There are two large murals of Italian mosaic glass that line the museum’s front façade, portraying highlights from Malay culture and history. There are numerous galleries that visitors will want to explore, including the Prehistory Gallery, The Malay Kingdoms Gallery, The Colonial Era Gallery, and Malaysia Today Gallery.
