The Broken Oar is a delicious dining destination in downtown Moab, named in honor of a local legend regarding the survival of a travel group on the Colorado River after a flash flood. The seasonal restaurant is open to the public for lunch and dinner throughout the summer months Mondays through Saturdays, serving up excellent Western-style American fare. Diners can choose from a variety of dishes prepared with meats and game smoked in-house daily, including St. Louis-style baby back ribs with Texas rub, pulled pork butt platters, and hand-rubbed tri-tip roasts. Casual pub classics like fish and chips are also on the menu, along with a vast array of artisanal sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. Couples can also share creative appetizers like jalapeno artichoke dip, battered mozzarella cheese curds, or the restaurant's legendary buffalo wings drowned in sriracha bourbon sauce.
