The Minnesota Zoo is located in Apple Valley, Minnesota, on the outskirts of Minneapolis, and is home to more than 4,700 animals from the Minnesota Woodlands, a family farm, reefs and oceans, northern plains, Russia’s Far East, and tropical rainforests. Open 363 days out of the year, the zoo includes miles of both outdoor and indoor trails that lead guests to a farm, tundra, boreal forest, marine center, aviary, and tropical forest. Popular exhibits include the Wells Fargo Family Farm, Tropics Trial, Discovery Bay, and Russia’s Grizzly Coast and visitors can catch a glimpse of many endangered or rare species.
