The Lake Superior Railroad Museum is home to a rather impressive historic railroad equipment collection for visitors to explore, equipment that helped build the state of Minnesota and the rest of the country. Situated in downtown Duluth, the museum dedicated to railroad history is located within the platforms of the original 1892 Historic Union Depot. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum features rolling stock meticulously restored locomotives, interesting exhibits, and fun events that bring the railroad to life with a goal of preserving, presenting, and interpreting the history of the railroad, particularly with how it’s related to the area.
