The Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post contains a 1930’s trading post where guests can unique American Indian gifts made by Mille Lacs artisans and a museum that tells the story of the area’s Band of Ojibwe. The museum’s centerpiece is its dramatic Four Seasons Room, featuring life-sized dioramas that were modeled after some of the actual Mille Lacs Band members. The various exhibits heavily draw from the oral histories and personal stories of the members of the Mille Lacs Band of the Ojibwe people. Visitors can also explore Our Living Culture, Making a Living, and Nation Within a Nation.
