Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is a museum that features replicated model ships, located in Savannah, Georgia. The museum has nine galleries that contain maritime artifacts and paintings, and numerous ship models. A large majority of the models were commissioned to be replicated by the museum itself, to interpret Savannah’s fascinating maritime history.
The museum’s collection of model ships include modern navy ships, ironclads, colonial vessels, and ocean-going steamers. The
museum is also home to the historic Scarbrough House and one of the largest gardens in Savannah’s historic district. The museum offers special tours for Girl Scout troops, focusing on Juliette Gordon Low’s connection to the city’s rich maritime history.
