Mother Mathilda Beasley Park is a community park that honors Georgia’s first African-American nun, Mother Beasley. The park is located on East Broad Street, in the city of Savannah, Georgia.

Mother Beasley founded the St. Francis Home for Colored Orphans in 1887. The park features a baseball diamond, a large playing field for football or soccer, a charming pavilion, and two well-equipped playgrounds. The park is usually taken over by families and droves of children on the weekends, often for birthday parties, family barbeques, or sporting events. The entire park is fenced in, so kids can bring their furry friends along for a day of fun under the sun.
