Review:

The Riga Porcelain Museum opened in 2001 and soon grew to be one of the most comprehensive ceramics museums in Latvia. It has a large collection that started with the porcelain factory’s varying porcelain and earthenware pieces – almost 8,000 of them created from the 19th century onward. The porcelain industry has played an important role in Latvia’s artistic history. Visitors can learn more about the past while trying their own luck at creating porcelain figurines and painting them in the many workshops and events held throughout the year. The museum shop allows visitors to take a bit of Latvia’s priceless porcelain pieces home with them.
