Review & FAQ:

Victor Talpa, a Latvian Civil Aviation Administration employee, established the Riga Aviation Museum in 1956. It is located on the grounds of the Riga International Airport and is still one of the largest museums of its kind in Europe. Outside of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the museum has the greatest collection of Soviet aircrafts. Visitors can see many aircrafts and helicopters at the museum including the Aero L-29 Delfin, the Mil Mi-24, the Yakovlev Yak-28R, and the Tupolev Tu-134, a twin-engine jet airliner that can operate from unpaved airfields.
