Review:

The only museum of its kind in all of Latvia, the Riga Film Museum was founded in 1988. The museum has exhibitions on various aspects of the film industry, including its history, actors, and cinema art. Visitors can explore the exhibitions, which are divided into six parts and also include the Riga School of Poetic Documentary Cinema, film production and censorship in Soviet time, a timeline of Latvian and world cinema, and animation productions. There are also many educational programs for visitors to partake in such as a lecture on what cinema is, which explores different genres and optical illusions, and the freedom of expression, which was limited during the Soviet censorship.
