Review:

The 100-km-long Oslo Fjord is a scenic inlet that stretches from the Torbjørnskjær and Færder lighthouses all the way to Oslo in the north. It is part of the Skagerrakstrait which connects the North Sea to the Kattegat sea area, leading to the Baltic Sea. The fjord has hundreds of small and not so small islands, each with its own individual life.

Hovedøya has old monastery ruins; Gressholmen has rabbits; Nakholmen, Bleikøya, and Lindøya have charming cabins on the water; and Langøyene is famous for its beach and camping. In the summer, the fjord is a popular place for kayaking, fishing, sailing, and even diving. Most of the islands offer spectacular views of Oslo and can be easily reached by boat from the city.
