Review:

Oslo's Opera House , opened in 2008, looks like a glacier slowly floating to the fjord, with white, angled walls and a flat marble roof popular with locals for sunbathing. Tourists love it too for the spectacular views of the city. The interior is equally interesting, with large windows offering glimpses of theatre activities such as rehearsals and workshops.

The main hall is formed like a horseshoe, resembling classical old theatres. The magnificent, futuristic opera building is home to the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet and the national opera theatre, which offer rich and diverse programs. The House has three stages: The Main House with 1369 seats, the Second House with 400 seats, and the Studio with 200 seats. The roof and foyer of the building are also used as stages for concerts.
