Review:
Norway's Resistance Museum is located in a small building on the grounds of the imposing 17th century Akershus Fortress in Oslo, next to the memorial to Norwegian resistance fighters who were executed during the war.
The Museum interprets the five years of Norway history during WWII from 1940 to 1945, during Nazi Germany occupation of Norway, through exhibits, documents, newspaper articles, recordings, models, posters, and photos related to the resistance movement and its activities. The Museum opened its doors to the public in 1970 on the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Norway from German occupation.
