Located in regent’s Park, the ZSL London Zoo, also known as Regent's Zoo, is a leading institution for the conservation, preservation, and welfare of animals and the oldest scientific zoo in the world. Originally established as a base for scientific study, the zoo is home to more than 17,500 animals across 750 species that reside in their natural habitats from all over the world. Habitats at the zoo range from Gorilla Kingdom and Land of the Lions to Animal Adventure and Tiger Territory, among others, and interactive experiences at the zoo include meeting the animals, being a zookeeper for a day, photography workshops, and sleepovers.
