The Natural History Museum is dedicated to showcasing the natural history of the world through a variety of world-class exhibits and displays that feature a vast range of specimens from various segments of history. One of three museums on Exhibition Road, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum is home to around 80 million earth, and life science specimens from the genres of botany, mineralogy, entomology, paleontology, and zoology. The Natural History Museum is also a leading research institution and world-renowned center of taxonomy and has a vast library containing thousands of books, manuscripts, journals, and artwork collections linked to the investigation and work of the various scientific departments within the gallery.
