The Changing of The Guard, also known as the Guard Mounting, is a world-renowned ceremony that takes place at Buckingham Palace during which The Queen's Guard are replaced by The New Guard as they march from the Wellington Barracks to Buckingham Palace. The Queen's Guard consists of five different regiments, namely The Irish Guard, The Welsh Guard, The Scots Guard, The Grenadier Guards, and The Coldstream Guards and are typically dressed in red tunics and traditional black bearskin hats in the warm months and long grey coats during the winter months. The Changing of the Guard ceremony officially begins at 11:00 am and takes place in three different locations - Buckingham Palace, St. James's Palace, and the Wellington Barracks.
