Portobello Road Market is the world’s largest antique market and one of London’s best-loved landmarks. Established in the 1800s as a farmer’s market, Portobello Road grew into a world-renowned antique market in the 1950s and now sells everything from clothing and music to bread and fruit. The market is still a popular place to hunt for antiques and vintage items with over 1,000 dealers selling all kinds of collectibles and bric-a-brac, including books, silver, glass, and crystal. Main market days are Friday and Saturday with smaller markets during the week, and bizarre and talented street performers provide endless entertainment.
