The Mid Continent Railway Museum is a history and railroad museum in North Freedom that documents and preserves the Golden Age of Railroading. The indoor/outdoor museum features many beautifully restored railroad cars and locomotives, as well as several buildings that can be explored on a tour of the grounds, including a depot, a coach shed, a freight house, a water tower, an engine house, a crossing shanty and tower, and a section shed. Visitors can enjoy a seven-mile round-trip ride on historic railroad cars, as well as onboard dining and other special events.
