von Trapp Brewery & Bierhall sits on the Trapp Family Lodge grounds, providing convenient access to mountain bike and cross-country ski trails. The brewery and bierhall opened in 2010 and increased in size in 2015, with the ability to produce 35,000 barrels each year. There are fresh lager beers along with freshly-prepared meals featuring Austrian cuisine. All year round, you can enjoy Helles Golden Lager, Vienna Style Lager, Vienna 12-pack cans, variety packs, Dunkel Lager, and Bohemian Pilsner. Rotating bottles and cans include Weissbier, Kolsch, Oktoberfest, Trosten, Bock Bier, Double IPL, and Hoppy Marzen. Other brews include the Double India Pale Lager. If you prefer, you can also get wine, Stowe Hard Cider, Rookie’s Ginger or Root Beer, KIS Kombucha, soft drinks, or Vermont Artisan fair trade coffee and tea. Save room for some food to go with your beer as many of the meals are prepared using the wood-fired Parrilla grill. The food menu includes Bavarian pretzels, lager cheese soup, sandwiches, brats, chicken schnitzel, grill platters, kebabs, vegetables and faro, salmon, salads, and dessert. Be sure to check the calendar before you visit this brewery since they host several events every week, including multiple weekend live performances and activities.
