Art lovers should make a point to include the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek to their list of places to see in Copenhagen. The Glyptotek is a museum dedicated to showcasing both ancient and modern art and is home to over 10,000 individual pieces separated into two collections. The first collection is made up of treasures from the early Mediterranean era, while the second collection is composed of Danish and French art from the 19th century onwards. The museum also hosts regular themed exhibitions and if you visit between June and September, you can join a guided tour (in English), which will greatly enhance your experience.
