Review & FAQ:
Another of Valencia’s historic churches, the Baroque Catholic Church of Santa Catalina and its impressive bell-tower are well-worth a visit. The church is one of the oldest in Valencia, dating back to the 13th century. By comparison to the Valencia Cathedral, the interior of this church is quite plain and unadorned. The impressive bell tower was a later addition in the 17th century and is hexagonal in shape. It stands five stories high, culminating in a small dome-covered temple. The tower has a very beautiful spiral staircase inside – visitors can pay a nominal amount to climb to the top of the structure for excellent views out over the city.
