Balderdash Cellars was originally founded in 2011 in Richmond, located within western Massachusetts' beautiful Berkshires region. The ultra-premium winery sources high-quality grapes from California's top AVAs and vineyards, showcased in white, red, and rosé varietals themed with clever tall-tale-style names such as Truth Serum, Invincible, and 'Til Death Do Us Part.

A public winery tasting room is operated by a volunteer staff, open to the public Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the year. For a nominal fee, guests can taste up to six wines, with tasting fees refunded after a set amount of wine purchases by the glass or by the bottle. Rotating craft beers are also tapped, sourced from nearby craft brewery Wandering Star. Live music performances are hosted on site regularly, showcasing the best of Massachusetts' local music scene.
