Family owned and operated since the 1980’s, Trattoria Antiche Carampane has become something of a legend to local Venetians and travelers in the know.

The restaurant is centrally located about 12 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge and is widely respected for serving consistently good food at reasonable (for Venice) prices. The emphasis is on serving the freshest seasonal fish and seafood, which the owner personally selects each day at the Rialto Market. Favorites from the menu include the Grilled Octopus with Buratta and Cherry Tomatoes, Grilled Cod with Chips and Pumpkin Cream and Venetian-style Cuttlefish with Soft Polenta. The wine menu features a range of local wines with an emphasis on small-batch producers.
