Built on the banks of the Adige River, the church of San Giorgio in Braida is an exquisite structure featuring impressive stonework, art, and architecture.

From without, it’s facade is notable for its white marble edifice and mix of ionic and corinthian pillars. Two alcoves have been carved out to accommodate the statues of St. George and St. Lawrence Giustiniani, both in fine detail, and the rest of the building is comprised in brick.

From within, most notable is the dome which is a beauty of engineering as well as architecture. There are many beautiful paintings inside the church, especially worth mentioning is the Baptism of Christ by the famed artist Tintoretto, he was known for his speedy work and bold brush strokes. This painting is located above the main door.
