Immortalized in literature for being the place of marriage to the fictional characters Romeo and Juliet, the Basilica di San Zeno has equal significance to its literary counterpart.

Accompanied by a monastery to its left and a bell tower to its right, the Basilica is the centerpiece in an architectural triptych. It’s warm facade colored naturally by the porous Tufa stone that composes it gives the structure a sense of approachability.

It somehow manages to exude a sense of grandeur without the apparent extravagance of other basilicas. Despite being built in approximately in the 12th century it has been maintained over time as its graceful arches decorate the high ceilings still give a sense of the holy.
