Review:

Windmill Brewing was opened by Justin Verburg and Scott Vander Griend in 2015 and strives to break the mold from craft beer’s current IPA craze, offering a variety of experimental sour ales, barrel-aged barleywines, and classic European lighter styles. The brewery’s Dyer tap room serves pints and fills growlers of its flagship and seasonal brews, including its Pale Dutch Boy American Pale Ale, orange juice-infused Memosea IPA, cinnamon and maple syrup-flavored Hey Mikey Imperial Oatmeal Stout, and SproosJoos Farmhouse Ale, a collaboration with local Burn ‘Em Brewing. Its tap room enforces a three-beer limit to ensure it remains a laid-back, craft-focused beer tasting experience rather than a rowdy sports bar environment.
