Broad Ripple Brewpub is an English-style pub and brewery established by husband and wife team John and Nancy Hill. At its 1990 opening, Broad Ripple was the first brewpub in Indiana and is currently the oldest continuously-operating brewery in the state. The brewery focuses on rye ales and award-winning cask styles, including The Hills Have Ryes, made in collaboration with Upland Brewing, and High and Rye, a traditional German-style rye. A large menu of classic bar and comfort food is served at its family-friendly and dog-friendly tap room, including many vegetarian, vegan, and health-conscious options. Outside, a large patio accommodates outdoor games in season.
