Deviate Brewing operates under a philosophy of striving to deviate from the norm of craft brewing, applying a wide variety of unique brewing approaches and techniques to the creation of its brews. Many of its beers are designed around flavor profiles of classic food pairings, such as its Blueberry Tarragon Ale or its Watermelon Mint Ale. Others try for experimental takes on common beer styles, such as its Hawaiian Imperial Stout or Peanut Butter IPA. Though the brewery’s Indianapolis tap room does not serve its own food, rotating food truck pop-ups are hosted on site periodically, and delivery is available from a number of nearby restaurants.
