Located six miles north of Lore City in Guernsey County, Salt Fork State Park is a public recreation area encompassing 17,229 acres of land and 2,952 acres of water, making it the largest state park in Ohio. Home to the Kennedy Stone House, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the park offers a wealth of outdoor recreational activities on both land and water, as well as modern amenities. The park has a range of campsites of varying classes, ranging from electric and non-electric campsites and standard, first-come, first-serve tenting sites with restrooms with showers and flush toilets, a dump station, and barbecue facilities. Recreational activities include 20 miles of trails to explore on foot, mountain bike or horseback, swimming in a large swimming pool, and bird-watching.
