Review:

Jekyll Brewing carries on the longstanding tradition of beer brewing on Jekyll Island, which was the site of the American South’s first brewery in 1738. The Alpharetta brewery was opened by Michael Lundmark and Josh Rachel and focuses on handcrafted brews covering the spectrum of global brewing styles. Core year-round brews include the brewery’s Hop Dang Diggity and Southern Juice Southern-style IPAs, its Big Creek Kolsch, its Cooter Brown American brown ale, and its ‘Merican Amber ale. Drafts are served at the brewery’s taproom Tuesdays through Sundays, with tours operating every half hour to hour. Food trucks and live music are highlighted periodically, and delivery service from several local restaurants is available on site.
