Maltz Jupiter Theatre is a non-profit, professional theatre in Jupiter, Florida founded in 1979 by Burt Reynolds. It was named the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater, owned and operated by the famous actor. During that time, from 1979 to 1996, it featured huge number of celebrity performers including the opening season's Vanities with Sally Field, Tyne Daly, and Gail Strickland. Burt Reynolds performed in three shows, directed a number of them and worked with stars like Martin Sheen, Sarah Jessica Parker, and others. After changing hands several times, the theatre was reopened in 2004 as the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, with a 554 seat playhouse. In 2008, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre received several grants helping young writers in their growth.
