Review:
Silverlake Flea is a hip once-a-month market in the Los Angeles neighborhood of the same name, voted as the city's best indie flea market by The LA Weekly and as one of America's best flea markets by NYLON Magazine. The market, which is held one Saturday afternoon each month on the grounds of the Micheltorena Street Elementary School, runs from noon to 5:00pm each event and is free to enter for all customers, with free parking offered onsite at the school. A plethora of independent artists and vendors sell their goods at the market, ranging from handmade and vintage apparel to quirky home furnishings, contemporary art pieces, and collectible items. A large collection of vinyl records is also sold, including rare and vintage finds. Health, beauty, and wellness makers round out the inventory, with food trucks rotated each event to showcase the best of the city's traveling culinary scene.
