Known for its utterly relaxing atmosphere and delicious vintages, the Schwaesdall Winery is a great destination for wine lovers passing through the Ramona Valley or San Diego County as a whole. Some stand out offerings from the tasting room include the Ramona Winery Cabernet Sauvignon, a gold medal winner at the Temecula Wine Competition, which is characterized by a lightly oaked and smooth flavor that pairs well with steak. Another is the Carignan 2001, handcrafted in the European Rhone style with earthy wood tones and a chocolate nose, as well as the Schwaesdall Winery Syrah, which has an up front, bitter orange peel on the palate in addition to jammy elderberry.
