Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Turnipseed Campground is a primitive Talladega Forest camping destination which welcomes visitors from March to November each year. This one is for the hard-core camper who wants to spend some time getting back to nature without any frills. Each of the 8 designated primitive camp sites has a picnic table, fire pit and grill, but you will need to bring in everything you need for your outdoor adventure. There are pit toilets on site but no running water or showers. The campground is located close to the Cheaha Wilderness Area and the main activities are hiking and bird watching – there is direct access to the popular Pinhoti trail.
