Scenically tucked into the heart of the Talladega Mountains, the Coleman Lake Campground and Recreation Area is a great place to go camping. The campground has 39 spacious campsites with water and electrical hookup and bathhouses. There are 29 picnic units where you can enjoy your alfresco meals and the 21-acre lake offers fishing, non-motorized boating and swimming. Other water sports include canoeing, kayaking and paddle-boarding. If you enjoy hiking you can pull on your boots and set off to explore part of the Pinhoti Trail, which can be accessed from the campground. Bird and other wildlife watching is good and the scenery is pretty amazing.
